What a Spec Sheet Actually Tells You
For engineers evaluating a projector, the spec sheet is where marketing ends and data begins. Resolution, brightness and throw ratio get most of the attention, but in day-to-day deployment the parameters that decide whether a unit survives installation are often the alignment and automation features. This article walks through the C5Pro's parameter set — what each line means, how it is used, and what it implies for the systems you design around it.
The Imaging Engine: 1080P LCD with an LED Source
The C5Pro uses a 1080P (1920×1080) LCD imaging engine with an LED light source rated at over 30,000 hours. Two things follow. First, at 100-inch screen sizes, 1920×1080 delivers roughly 2.07 megapixels across the picture — adequate for text-heavy business content and 1080p video, and a deliberate choice against 4K at this specification level. Second, the LED source changes the maintenance model: rated life beyond 30,000 hours means, at six hours of daily use, theoretical service life exceeds thirteen years. For procurement models, the assumption becomes maintenance-free within the machine's service life — no mid-life lamp swap, no spare lamp inventory, no service visits driven by light-source failure.
The Automation Chain: Five Parameters That Decide Installation Effort
Five lines in the C5Pro spec sheet are marked "Yes," and together they define how much human intervention an installation requires:
- Auto Focus — the unit performs focus calibration after power-up, without manual ring adjustment.
- Four-Point Keystone — when the unit is placed off-axis, the projected image becomes a trapezoid. Four-point correction samples the image at four corners and applies an inverse projective transform to restore a true rectangle — the minimum sample set for a full projective correction. The practical benefit: the projector can sit on a coffee table, nightstand or side table and still return a rectangular frame.
- Auto Obstacle Avoidance — objects in the light path (a sofa back, a floor lamp, a vase) cast shadows on the picture; the system detects the obstruction and rescales the image around it, addressing the most common installation defect in lived-in rooms.
- Auto Screen Alignment — the unit identifies the screen bezel and fits the image inside it, removing the naked-eye border fine-tuning after every power-on.
- Electric Stand — a telescopic support rod adjusts projection height for viewing posture, removing the improvised book-stacking that plagues fixed-height units.
Each of these is a binary "Yes" on the parameter sheet — a delivery capability verified item by item, not inferred from copywriting.
Brightness and Throw Ratio: The Room-Fit Arithmetic
Brightness and throw ratio decide whether a projector works in a given room, and they are best evaluated together.
The C5Pro is specified at 2,200 lumens. When comparing models, confirm the measurement basis — ANSI lumens and source (LED) lumens are not the same unit — but at this level the practical meaning is clear: solid headroom for evening viewing with curtains half drawn, and predictable behaviour in blackout conditions. For residential evaluation, treat 2,000+ lumens as the floor for comfortable evening viewing in rooms with residual ambient light.
A throw ratio of 1.28:1 means image width is roughly 1/1.28 of the projection distance. For a 16:9 picture:
Screen sizePicture widthRequired distance
100 inches≈ 2.2 m≈ 2.8 m
80 inches≈ 1.8 m≈ 2.3 m
These two lines answer the first question of any small-room or short-throw deployment: will the picture fit the wall.
Acoustics: Sub-30 dB
In hotels, meeting rooms and bedrooms, fan noise is a functional defect, not a comfort detail. The C5Pro runs below 30 dB — for reference, a whisper measures about 30 dB — so dialogue remains clearly audible at bedside volume, and no extra acoustic treatment is needed in quiet rooms.
Compliance: The Export Gate
CE, FCC, RoHS, WEEE and ISO9001, plus 3C for the Chinese market, cover the common access requirements of the EU, North America and China. For any B2B deployment, certification is a hard gate: verify the list against the destination market's current requirements before procurement.

The Takeaway
A spec sheet is read left to right, but evaluated as a system: the imaging engine sets the picture's ceiling, the automation chain sets the installation floor, and brightness, throw ratio and noise decide whether the unit survives the room it lands in. The C5Pro's parameter set is deliberately arranged around that logic — and every line in it is a fixed number, available for line-by-line comparison.
